On the day Emanon was born, a group of adventurers were passing through his town between the mountains. Their cleric stayed to help with the birth, which was especially hard on his mother. Pleased with the outcome, the priest placed a spell of blessing upon Emanon’s brow before leaving the village. Although he never returned to the village, he had left his mark there forever, on the soul of the baby.

Growing up, Emanon devoted himself to the Dwarven god Moradin, and to doing everything he could to help his fellow Dwarf. He learned to fight and use weapons to defend his town from the beasts of the forests, and bandits unlucky enough to set up nearby were quickly driven out with speed and fervor. Practicing his priestly arts, Emanon did everything he could to keep the townsfolk happy, healthy, and prosperous. Still, there was more he wanted to help with.

Living in the shadows of Meru and Kharsag weighed heavily on Emanon. Knowing there must be some way for his people to atone for the tragedy they contained deep within their hearts, he came to a decision. After his celebrated welcome into adulthood, Emanon declared his intent to go forth as an adventurer. Telling his parents it was to further his desire to help the innocents wronged in the world, he left with a few heartfelt goodbyes and the well wishes of the townsfolk. Now, after a fairly uneventful journey, Emanon has arrived in the city of Reyes, seeking some way to discover the hidden sins of his people, find a way to atone for them, and lead them triumphantly back to their ancestral homeland.
